Memorial Service Speech Recordings

As mentioned, the memorial service for Jerry Shaffer was held on Sat Dec 3, 2016 in Storrs, CT. The turnout was incredible and heartwarming - with more than 100 people from the different stages of his life in attendance. This included friends and family, many philosophy colleagues, therapy/counseling colleagues and clients, fellow bridge players, neighbors and others who knew Jerry from his >45 years living in Mansfield, CT.

Many people spoke at the memorial from all these different life stages, which was amazing. We only had the memorial location reserved for 4 hours, so our time was limited and it became apparent that we could have gone longer, to accommodate everyone who wanted to share their testimonial. We are very sorry if anyone wanted to speak but did not get a chance.

While we did not make a formal effort to record the speeches made, many were recorded by attendees on cell phones. As such, the quality of the recordings are definitely not professional, or ideal, but they are mostly good enough to hear clearly what was said, which is of course the most important thing. If anyone has any recordings of speeches we are missing here, please reach out to dave.shaffer@yahoo.com.
